Cadmium Selenate, CdSeO4

The dihydrate, CdSeO4.2H2O, can be crystallised in transparent tabular crystals from a solution of cadmium oxide in selenic acid. It dissolves readily in water, loses half its water at 100° C., and becomes anhydrous at higher temperatures. It crystallises in the monoclinic system.

The double salts, Rb2SeO4.CdSeO4.6H2O, Cs2SeO4.CdSeO4.6H2O, (NH4)2SeO4.CdSeO4.6H2O, and (NH4)2SeO4.CdSeO4.2H2O, have been prepared.
