Cadmium Chlorate, Cd(ClO₃)₂

Cadmium Chlorate has been prepared by acting on a solution of barium chlorate with a solution of cadmium sulphate. The dihydrate Cd(ClO₃)₂.2H₂O, which is the only stable hydrate, occurs in deliquescent prismatic crystals that are very soluble in water or alcohol and melt, with decomposition, at 80° C.
